How I Design Websites

I analyze your site's components based on function and then code the content (in X/HTML) using meaningful markup.

I use external cascading stylesheets (CSS) to manage the design and display elements. Both my X/HTML and my CSS minimize cross-browser hacks.

For additional functionality (popups, accordion panel menus, galleries), I use Javascript, and rely on the JQuery library for all its great solutions.

Everyone Needs A Website

At Solasis, I use simple, content-based website code to keep your site versatile, easy to update, quick to load, and accessible to a wide variety of users, including those with disabilities. You'll pay less to establish and maintain your website with Solasis, while optimizing your users' experience.

My web design muses, such as Andy Clarke, emphasize clean, manageable code and usability. Like Andy and the rest of the geniuses from Web Standards Creativity, I'm committed to meaningful mark-up and avoid cross-browser hacks wherever possible.

In addition to designing websites, Solasis offers the following:

  • Redesigns
  • Managing a site whose original designer is no longer unavailable
  • Simple site updates (change dates, add or remove items, corrections, broken links, etc.)
  • Training so you can learn to update your own site
  • Recommendations
  • Coaching, if you need help getting your domain set up and hosted (we are not currently a web hosting company)

I am honest, cheerful, fair, realistic, and professional, and so are my clients.
