To read is to suspend yourself. To linger and imagine a world posited by the author, and then brought to life by your own invention, interpretation, impressions, and desires.
We read to enjoy ourselves, and to experience and express desires we might not otherwise explore. To help formulate and guide our thoughts. To learn. And to remember. To benefit from the alignment that the right words elicit in us. We read because we feel deeply how it connects us with who we really are.
